This weekend, MusicDish's Women’s Voices series—which documents the stories of creative women shaping the music industry—is coming to Bie Box.
Since their launch last year, they have told the storIes of 12 unique female musicians, detailing their inspirations, successes, and struggles in the industry.
This will be their first offline event, and it will begin with an energetic roundtable discussion that is going to be recorded for MusicDish’s podcast Why She Rocks.
The talk and Q&A session will be followed by performances from three female artists with distinctive styles. Each one is a leading figure in their respective genres: singer-songwriter Wang Yiling, modular maestro tamiX, and hyperpop singer Casee.
Wang Yiling
Hunan-native Wang Yiling is a songwriter, singer, producer, and the founder of the band With Fire. Her emotional style is influenced by classic hits from the 1960s and 70s, combining eastern elements with sounds from around the world.
Her first full-length studio album, Ode to Wither, was released in the fall of 2024 and is now available worldwide.
tamiX
The multi-talented performer, tamiX, is a master of modular systems, visual artist, skateboard instructor, and the founder of Midifan.com. She improvises during her performances to deliver a unique experience at every show – you might have caught her at the Boiler Room event in Beijing last year.
Casee
Avant-garde artist Casee has been studying music since childhood and graduated from the Shenyang Conservatory of Music. She draws from influences such as Nirvana, Metallica, and Marilyn Manson to create her own distinctive style.
All three of these commanding musicians bring something different to this epic night of female power! Don’t miss this chance to chat with them before you rock out to their supersonic sounds!
