This past Sunday, October 15, marked the official opening of the 134th China Import and Export Fair, widely known as the Canton Fair.

That's was on-site for the event's first day, and the proceedings were remarkably smooth, from on-site registration to entry into the exhibition halls.

According to the organizers, by 5pm on the opening day more than 50,000 overseas buyers from over 215 countries and regions had attended the fair.

This turnout marked a substantial increase compared to the Canton Fair in spring of this year.

The lift of COVID-19 restrictions, a significant surge in inbound flights to China, and streamlined visa processing have all contributed to this remarkable boost in attendance.

This indicates a notable growth of 20.2%, 33.6%, and 21.3% compared to the previous Canton Fair.
