The Beijing Marathon is here once again.
This Sunday, November 6 will see the Beike Beijing Marathon fire the starting gun at 7.30am. The route starts at Tiananmen Square and finishes beside the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing Olympic Park.

Take note of the road closures below, as announced by the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau yesterday, November 1. Closures are in place from the stated time until the end of the competition on Sunday, November 6. Closures apply to all pedestrians and vehicles, except for emergency vehicles and those with a designated 2022 Beike Beijing Marathon pass:

Closed: Tiananmen Guangchang Dong Ce Lu (天安门广场东侧路) and Tiananmen Guangchang Xi Ce Lu (天安门广场西侧路) from the South Intersection to North Intersection (closure not including North and South Intersections)

COVID Rules Reminder
Like almost everything in our lives nowadays, the Beike Beijing Marathon 2022 cannot escape the grip of COVID rules.
If you’re taking part in the event, take note of the following:
You MUST have a negative nucleic acid test issued within 24 hours when picking-up items for the race. The pick-up normally takes place one or two days before the race itself.
You MUST have a negative nucleic acid test issued within 24 hours on the day of the race.
You MUST undergo a further negative nucleic acid test within 48 hours of finishing the race.
You MUST have completed basic immunization (two shots) of COVID-19 vaccine before October 20, 2022. Those who completed basic immunization before April 20, 2022 must have completed a booster shot before October 20, 2022.
