On December 31, 2020, the world-leading InterContinental Hotels Group announced the grand opening of Crowne Plaza Beijing Badaling. The hotel venue is located in Yanqing district nearby one of the three host sites for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. A grand opening ceremony took place on New Year’s Eve 2020. With a melodious classical violin performance, the hotel welcomed important key leaders from BBMG Corporation, InterContinental Hotels Group and distinguished guests from different walks of life. Guests were also treated to exquisite cocktails, masterfully created latte coffees and a live band performance.

During the ceremony, eight distinguished guests cut the ribbon to officially open the hotel before raising their glasses in a toast to Crowne Plaza Beijing Badaling. The ceremony ended with a traditional lion-dance performance.
