Nov 26-Nov 30: Hairy Crab Season @ Jing Yaa Tang

As the autumn winds blow and the Osmanthus flowers bloom, hairy crabs are back on restaurant tables in Beijing. Famous for their delicate flavor and buttery texture, these crustaceans are a rare treat available only for a couple months of the year. Jing Yaa Tang invites you to try the innovative recipes of Chef Li Dong, like crab roe xiaolongbao and stir-fried crab meat with milk curd and parma ham.

Nov 26-Nov 30: German Film Festival

The 6th Festival of German Cinema in China is organized by German Films, supported by the Goethe-Institut China and Broadway Cinemas. Screenings are taking place through November 30. For more information, follow their WeChat: fgc_2013.

Nov 29-Dec 8: A Decade of Mosto Anniversary Celebration

Beginning on Thursday, Mosto invites you to embark on a 10-day culinary celebration featuring tributes from Beijing’s best restaurants. Their kitchen will be turned over to the skilled hands of chefs from Migas, Obentos, TRB and Hatsune. Each will prepare a special three- or four-course tasting menu for the anniversary event.

Nov 30-Dec 9: 'Gone with the Wind' Musical

From the novel that inspired readers for generations comes this heart-wrenching musical adaptation, matched with music from Gerard Presgurvic. The beautiful costumes will evoke the American Civil War Era where this epic story, that spans through 10 years of the life of Scarlett O’ Hara, takes place, while the songs will spell out the pains of growing up and coming of age.

Dec 1: Beijing SantaCon

SantaCon is the global non-denominational, non-religious and totally nonsensical celebration of all things Santa! Santa will parade through the streets of Beijing, in collaboration with some of the best venues across town. The festive event will raise money for various charities through 'Maovember'. Get ready to join this ride for a good cause and scan the QR code for updates, because the route the bearded man will follow is still top secret, and so are the details regarding the after party and concert.
