Mifan or Mafan: Lady M

By That's Beijing, September 30, 2018

Following ChickaLicious this summer, another New York confectionary sought to breathe some life into Beijing's stale dessert scene. Lady M does so with its signature mille crepe cakes in the classic (RMB68), matcha and rose varieties (RMB75), with a smoothie menu to complement. As expected, the elegant treats came with long queues – though not as miserable as the five-hour lines that shocked the cake shop’s Shanghai location last year. Let’s just say this: If you’re willing to spend almost 40 minutes trapped in Chaoyang Joy City, you can have your cake and eat it too at Lady M. Well, you’ll actually have to eat it elsewhere – there’s another line for that.
