Bomb Squad Spotted at the US Embassy in Beijing

The bomb squad arrived at the US Embassy in Beijing on Wednesday afternoon after a suspicious package was found at the front gate of the building. 

Police were notified about the suspicious package around 3pm yesterday. The package was located at the US Embassy, near Dongfang East Road in Chaoyang. Police evacuated the surrounding area, blocked off roadways and patrolled the embassy for roughly 30 minutes. The bomb squad then reached the scene to check the package, which was found to contain clothes and non-threatening supplies. No explosives were found on the scene.
