March 17-20: St. Patrick’s Celebration Week at Paddy O’Shea’s

St. Paddy’s Day might technically be on the 17th, but that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate all weekend long. If you ask us, Paddy O’Shea’s has the right idea. After hosting an all day celebration on the day of, the most popular Irish pub in town plans to keep the festivities going deep into the weekend. They'll host a show by Blackwater on Friday, the Ireland vs Scotland round of the 6 Nations tourney on Saturday and a special St. Patrick’s edition of the Hidden City Game on Sunday.

March 18: The Hacker at Dada

The legendary French DJ known as The Hacker is gracing Beijing with a rare performance on Friday night at Dada.  As a veteran in the industry, the producer is best known for his cutting-edge style, which blends electronic music, techno and 80s new wave. This is his first (and only!) visit to China - so don’t miss out!

March 18: Dim Sum Disco at Migas

Ever fantasized about going to Mars?  Well, on Friday you can…kind of. For one night and one night only, Migas will be transformed into an otherworldly Martian-themed discotheque. There’s no better place to groove to tunes by Dim Sum Disco, sip on a few otherworldly cocktails and dance the night away. Oh, and there is a dress code. Make sure to don all things red and silver!

March 18-19: Spark 4.0 Soft Opening

Spark is back and better than ever. Not only is it showing off its new look and new attitude this weekend but it's offering That's Beijing readers something special. On Friday and Saturday, between 11pm and 12am, make sure to put your business card in the box featuring a That's Beijing sticker. March 18-27: The Beijing Bookworm Literary Festival

If you have the urge to mix things up this weekend, look no further than the Beijing Bookworm Literary Festival. There are tons of events going on, and we feel confident there’s something to suit all tastes. A few select events this weekend include a talk with celebrity chef Ken Hom, a discussion with well-known author Xinran about China’s former one-child policy on Saturday and a comedy night with Steve Simeone on Sunday.
