CHAO Art Center is pleased to announce the 2019 Annual Art Exhibition “Way of Seeing,” open from August 16th through October 6th, 2019. Ways of Seeing is a showcase of an art that focuses on the human condition. To build a deeper visual context, the exhibition puts into question some normative values in contemporary art such as monumentality, recency and uniqueness. The exhibition gathers 17 acclaimed Chinese and foreign contemporary artists, including a number of “textbook-style” works as well as many significant works that were first publically exhibited in China. Following over a year of preparation, this exhibition presents a variety of angles beside the text of the work.
