Town Crier! is random snippets of Shanghai news that just may have an effect on your life...
Jiashan Saturday Market returns after their summer break to bring you some of Shanghai's best artisan produce and handmade crafts. Expect a wide range of unique products from vendors including jams and preserved goods (Amelia’s), freshly roasted coffee (Jonas Emil), freshly baked handmade British cakes (The British Kitchen), European breads (Shanghai Young Bakers), imported wines (Staxx and Root Cellar), fresh cheeses (Ambrosia Diaries), handmade jewelry, soaps and much much more.
This market also marks a farewell to Amelia Heaton-Renshaw who has been at the helm of the event since it was founded almost 4 years ago. However fear not - all her products will still be readily available at all the current locations including The Pantry, Food Box, Avocado Lady and many more.
A fun and vibrant atmosphere is expected with lots of live music throughout the afternoon. In addition, to mark the occasion, the market will be open for special extended hours of 11am-6pm. Subsequent markets will be held throughout the rest of the year on the first and third Saturday’s of every month at the regular time of 11am-4pm.
