From concerts to art exhibitions, here are four upcoming Shanghai events you absolutely can't miss.

Now Until June 30: Claude Monet New Impressionistic – The Track of Time Art Exhibition 3.0

This exhibition offers art lovers an extraordinary opportunity to be close to one of the greatest paintersí works in a modern, immersive way. Based on its original content and utilizing a host of different technologies, the exhibition combines some of the latest techniques such as 3D mapping, intelligent interactive devices and installation art to create an immersive art exhibition experience. This exhibition has set up a special zone with cooperative copies authorized by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and also includes a cooperation with a top international shadow design team to create a 5D shadow exhibition for its audiences. It also includes a small Monet exhibition for children.

May 29: Alexandro Querevalú

Inspired by The Last of the Mohicans, the Shanghai Theatre Centre presents Alexandro Querevalú as he performs his own musical rendition of the film's score, originally composed by Trevor Jones and Randy Edelman. The Poland-based Peruvian musician has mastered a wide variety of traidtional Andean wind instruments, including the quena, quenacho, antara, basto zampoña, malta zampoña and more. This is a unique, multi-instrumental live music event that is bound to be an enchanting experience.

June 13: Maki Ohguro Tour

Japanese singer and songwriter Maki Ohguro is all set to perform in Shanghai in June. Maki got her start in the music industry in 1989 as a backup singer for a whole slew of famous artists. But two years into her career, Ohguro started writing her own songs and began making guest appearances on albums such as KIX-S's Akata Miharu's first record. She finally got her big break in 1992 with the single ‘Stop Motion.’ Her next single, ‘Da Ka Ra’ was a huge hit, selling over a million copies. She’s gone on to have a long and successful career with 13 studio albums under her belt. Her latest record, Music Muscle, was released in 2018. You can see the pop singer in Shanghai on June 13 at Bandai Namco Shanghai Base Dream Hall.

July 5-14: Peppa Pig Live - Rainy Days! (Mandarin)

This July, let your kids experience the hit children's show like never before when you see Peppa Pig in an all new and exciting live show. Kids will see their favorite characters come to life as life-sized puppets and costume characters in Peppa Pig's Adventure - Rainy Days! at the Shanghai PG Theater. Join Peppa as she gets ready to embark on a camping trip to the woods with her friend George and others, including Pedro Pony, Suzy Sheep and Gerald Giraffe. Their outdoor adventures are guaranteed to be full of laughs, games and live music. With lots of songs and chances for the audience to join in, this live show is the perfect treat to keep your toddlers entertained this summer. Expect to laugh, cheer and shout throughout this sweet and fun performance. Note that the show is performed in Mandarin.
