Good news for those of you looking to jet off on a mini-vacation this May, China’s annual Labor Day (aka ‘May Day’) holiday has been upgraded from a single day off to a four-day holiday! Sort of

In the official public holiday schedule, which was released at the end of last year, the Labor Day holiday was set for Wednesday, May 1. But, in an official Central Government announcement released this morning, the holiday has now been stretched to four days, running from Wednesday, May 1 to Saturday, May 4.

While this is unquestionably exciting news for those of us who enjoy multi-day holidays, it is worth noting that the number of work days in the months of April and May remain unchanged, as Sunday, April 28 and Sunday, May 5 will be adjusted workdays.
