In general the drivers feel, they are in the service industry and that is the way they treat you. If you run into problems you can always find help with customer service.
This all provided, you have some basic knowledge of Chinese.
Some people might argue, that a traditional line of business is destroyed by these apps and I can relate to that in some capacity, but from a customer´s point of view the apps are a huge improvement. Should I forecast the situation, I would say that in ten years from now, there are no traditional taxis anymore.
