He’s a famous resident of Westeros and a comrade of the king, he can f*ckin’ hold a door and – you may not know this – he’s a superstar DJ. He’s Hodor, ladies and gentleman, otherwise known in real life as Kristian Nairn. This August, the beloved Hodor is coming to the Middle Kingdom for a special performance at Dragon-i in Hong Kong.

Aug 15-19: HKTDC Food Expo 2019

Foodies, mark your calendars. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council is hosting an epic food expo this month, with over 1,560 exhibitors showcasing amazing food and beverages from around the world. Visitors can expect to try an array of excellent eats.

Aug 16-25: Peter Pan

Who doesn’t love the tale of Peter Pan? We certainly do. The classic story takes on a new form this month at the Hong Kong Cultural Center and Sha Tin Town Hall. With a cast of cheeky pirates, exotic princesses and kids who don’t want to grow up, this show combines ballet, clever slapstick and hip hop. Watch this live production by Hong Kong Sinfonietta with the whole family.

Aug 23: The Chainsmokers World War Joy Live

The Chainsmokers are coming back to Hong Kong this month with their latest album World War Joy in tow. Alex Pall and Drew Taggart make up this world-famous musical twosome and are beloved in the Fragrant Harbor for putting on epic performances in past years. Their unique sound blends indie, progressive and pop, a little something for everyone. Having taken the stage in virtually every major city around the world, this show is not to be missed.

Aug 23-26: The Hong Kong Computer & Communications Festival 2019

Known to be the largest exhibition for computer communications and electronic products in Hong Kong, this four-day event attracts visitors from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Southeast Asia and the rest of the world. Check out the latest in science and technology, with an estimated 500 booths showing off cool tech.

Aug 31-Sept 1: God or No God

Pianist KJ Wong takes the audience through a musical journey with an existential theme: Does God really exist? Wong will explore this long-standing question with a musical interpretation at Studio Theatre this month. If you’re scratching your head, don’t worry – we are too. But you have to admit, you’re a little curious to see what this is all about.
