That’s Shenzhen takes a look at the best gigs of the week.
Fri, Mar 1: The Super VC @ B10
Comparable to The Strypes, or perhaps The Monkees, The Super VC have been making music since they group of young lads, with a flurry of pretty catchy tunes. In the fashion of boy bands, they have a very distinct style, wearing military garb a la Coldplay during the Viva la Vida phase (what does that say about Coldplay?). This event is a good one for musically-inclined youngsters.
Fri Mar 1, 8.30pm; RMB80 presale, RMB100 at the door. B10. See event listing. Tickets.
Sat-Sun, Mar 2-3: 4H Party @ Heyhou Town 4HLive

Another music festival hits Shenzhen this March, with 4H Live putting on a great two-day party featuring a number of EDM and house music artists. Featuring American-Indian KSHMR, Dutch-Turkish artist Ummet Ozcan and a number of local musicians, including Lizzy, Steve Rocks and more, this international affair should be a cracker.
Sat-Sun Mar 2-3, 5-11.30pm; RMB350-580. Heyhou Town 4HLive. See event listing. Tickets.
Sun, Mar 3: Jan & Naomi @ B10
Dream pop out of Tokyo, Jan & Naomi released their first full-length nine-track album, Fracture, in April of 2018. They’ve since gone on to capture a bunch of fans enamored by their gentle vocals, precarious made rhythms and beautiful lyrics.
Sun Mar 3, 8.30pm; RMB80 presale, RMB120 at the door. B10. See event listing. Tickets.
