November 6-7: Battlefield at Nanshan Cultural and Sports Center

This play is based on an ancient Sanskrit-language text featuring a great war that leads to the deaths of millions. Originally more than eight hours long, the English-language stage version has proven more accessible – and popular with – audiences by depicting modern conundrums.

November 7: Itzhak Perlman Concert

One of the world's most acclaimed violinists will perform a solo show in Shenzhen, and tickets are going fast. The program for the night includes Strauss, Debussy and Schubert.

November 10: Paul van Dyk at Electric Wonderland (Hong Kong)

Three-time 'World #1 Mega Superstar' DJ Paul Van Dyk is headed to Hong Kong for the Electric Wonderland festival. There, he'll perform live for more than two hours, mixing hits with samples of his latest album. In case you need convincing, the DJ has gotten a Grammy nod, remixed for Batman: Dark Knight and has been called the World's Greatest DJ by Forbes.

The 'Where's my chef?' competition invites folks around Shenzhen to send in their best shots of brunch, pasta, salad or dessert dishes they made themselves. November 10-11: Bionic Craft Beer Fest

Eighteen of China’s most prominent breweries, eight great restaurants and a limited number of tickets: Bionic Brew presents the 3rd Annual Shenzhen Craft Beer Festival. This year will be a showcase of some China’s top breweries, including from Hong Kong.

November 11: Singles' Day Party at Eden Garden

November 11: Stolen at B10 Live

When four Chengdu natives and a Frenchman assemble, they form Stolen, a band praised for being ‘ahead of other Chinese bands’ in their press material. Expect a mix of rock and electronic musical styles described as thick and gloomy. This Shenzhen show will see new songs and visuals designed by the French member, who is also the band's VJ.

November 11: Hong Kong Creamfields Music Fest Pre-Party at Face Club

British electronic music festival Creamfields will come to Hong Kong for the first time this December. While you're waiting, get pumped for performances with the official pre-party, held at Shenzhen's Face Club.

November 11-12: The Taste of Artistry Signature Showcase
