21 Craft Breweries to Attend This Boozy Shenzhen Event

Looking for a boozy event this month, jam-packed with food, craft beers and fun, all wrapped up with friendly, communal vibes? Then look no further!

Electric City Festival returns this November 9-11 for its fourth year of craft beer fun. Again, inviting local restaurants and breweries from all over China to join in on the weekend, organizers Bionic Brew continue to separate themselves from the rest of the pack when it comes to beer-soaked events that everyone, including your grandma, can get involved with. 

Bionic Brew pride themselves on making community a cornerstone of their business, and as the fourth annual Electric City Festival approaches, they show no sign of letting up. They want to invite you to join in on the revelry this month at Halo Place, North of Grand Theater in Luohu District. 

Over the years, this festival has grown from hosting just six breweries to now inviting 20 crafters of fine suds to join in on the action. Not only that, but they invite local restaurants and home brewers to get in on the action. One of their most resounding approaches when it comes to crafting your own brew, and one which seperates them from the pack, is to love what you are doing. At Electric City Festival you can certainly feel the loving vibes resonating amongst this vibrant community.

Fri, November 9:

TAYTA
As a DJ and producer, Colombian Tayta is able to move between, and blend, genres seamlessly. He has performed in top venues across China, headlined  Club Sector's main room and shared the stage with Johnny Osbourne at the Outlook Festival. 

DJ Tayta currently lives in Shenzhen, where he holds residency at Baia and hosts the city's hottest funk party every Friday.

MMERVV
MMERVV arrived in China by way of the U.S. and Germany, bringing an eclectic love of italo, soul and chilled-out house music that prizes texture and ambience.

Sat, November 10:

VOLKOV
Volkov is a DJ and record collector from Ukraine who is now based in China, where he runs his '12 inch parties' in Shenzhen. 

Known to mix up genres as different as balearic and house, Volkov carefully sources special records and collectors vinyl from around the globe, bringing them alive while working his trademark groove.  

ECTOPLAZM
Ex-Party Horse and current Junks front-man Ectoplazm is on a mission to bring retrowave and tasty synth revival cuts to the masses. Blonde-haired, funkily dressed and never without his trusty baseball cap Ectoplazm is a throwback.

Based in Hangzhou,  Ectoplazm is part of the city's growing party scene and has performed in his various musical guises at some of China's biggest music festivals (including MIDI and Strawberry Music Festival).

A.BLACK DJ
Adrian Black aka A.BLACK DJ has been playing music for more than 20 years and producing for 15 years out of Virginia, home to some amazing artists/producers like Pharrell Williams & The Neptunes, Missy Elliot, and Timbaland.
