October 30-31: Halloween Parties and Events

Held on a Tuesday and ending at midnight, this might not be a rager, but its game-focused nature – beer pong, as well as access to batting cages – does sound fun. Costume up for a chance at prizes. November 1: Movember 'Shave-Down' Fundraiser Party

Party crawlers, moustache lovers and do-gooders alike will enjoy this Movember bash sponsored by That's PRD and others, with proceeds going toward a good cause. In case you're not familiar with the concept, male Movember participants grow out their facial hair in order to promote awareness and fundraise for mens' health issues. This event will help Movember-ers get a clean start with a fresh shave on the first of the month. Others can also get in on the fun with beer and fake mustaches in exchange for a RMB50 donation.

November 1-2: Manual Cinema Presents 'ADA/AVA'

This immersive work weaves together traditional drama – live actors and musicians – with cinematic elements like projectors and shadow puppets. The resulting, award-winning show tells the story of the elderly Ava, whose twin Ada has passed away. A trip to the mirror maze at a carnival results in supernatural surprises, however, and Ava soon finds herself revisiting the loss of her twin.

November 4: 5th Shenzhen Health and Wellness Fair

At Shenzhen's premier health fair, dozens of English-speaking fitness, nutrition, and mental wellness providers will gather to offer attendees free demos, classes and more. With activities that run the gamut from vegan cooking to meditation to tango, as well as a broad range of family-friendly vendor booths, the fair makes it easy to kickstart or continue a healthy lifestyle. Nov 4-5: Full Moon Party at Secret Spot Cafe

For one last beach party before the cold weather sets in, sign up for this event in Dapeng Peninsula. Musical acts include DJ Tayta, Lips McKenzie, MOTT, Adrian Blackstock and more. Buses to (11am, 6pm) and from (2.30am, 3pm) the venue are included in ticket price.

November 4: Artsy Party

Jardin Orange's bash has been postponed to this Saturday. Enjoy an artsy rooftop party hosted by one of the city’s best suppliers of set French lunches, French Touch Kitchen. Expect French wine, good food and fresh DJs as you rub elbows with up and coming resident artists, while checking out some of their artwork on display. November 4: busWiness Networking Event and Party

At this very special networking event, hip hop and pole dancers are the entertainment of choice. With music from international DJs setting the mood, get ready to exchange as many as 200 business cards over the course of the night. Sign-in time is 6.30-7.30pm, and drinks and snacks will be provided until 11pm. Dress code is formal, and black and white.

November 4: Heavy Metal Band Anvil at A8 Live

Heavy metal rockers Anvil were the subject of 2008 documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil, which boosted the nearly 40-year-old ensemble back into the public limelight. The Canadian trio have since opened for AC/DC, played SXSW and more, and garnered comparisons to Spinal Tap.

November 4: Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint-Marc

This angelic choir comes from Saint-Marc college in Lyon, France. Made up of 75 to 80 schoolchildren ranging from ages 10 to 15, they cover classical as well as contemporary in an extensive repertoire. In 2004, they were chosen to voice the soundtrack for the drama The Chorus.

Ongoing: 'DARK MOSS' Solo Exhibition at 99 Art Space
