Warning: you do not want to cab home after work this Friday.
Shenzheners are expected to hit the road en mass around 3pm as they head out of the city for the New Year's weekend, according to a city transport commission report posted online today.
If you were looking forward to a congestion-free weekend, some more bad news for you. An influx of tourists means that popular sites, such as Window of the World and Wutong Mountain, will also see the same car crush.
Congestion Sunday afternoon is also expected as cars reenter the city around 3pm, according to the report.
On the bright side, this finally gives you a chance to check out Shenzhen Metro's 2-month-old Lines 7 and 9.
