Can’t find the bathroom in Shenzhen Airport? Ask a robot.
Sixteen customer-service robots were put into service by Shenzhen Airlines on December 5, according to China Daily Africa’s website.
"Do you have a place to store luggage?" asked a woman surnamed Liu, according to the report.
"We have fingerprint identification luggage storage cabinets, come with me," the robot, named Xiaobao, replied.
Mainly meant to help passengers with airport-related tasks, these flipper-armed robots can also ‘dance, tell stories and play music,’ winning over passengers with their ‘air of charming naivety,’ according to chinanews.com.
Hopefully Xiaobao won’t take any cues from its robot brethren that smashed a display stall’s glass two weeks ago, injuring one at the Shenzhen Hi-Tech Fair.
