Shanghai SIPG vs Henan Jianye
Sunday saw league leaders Shanghai SIPG take on Henan Jianye at the Shanghai Stadium. And three goals in 11 second half minutes saw them stay top of the league. First Brazilian midfielder Davi converted from the penatly spot after a handball. Then Yu Hai got in on the action, slashing home after the ball had fallen for him from a corner. And Wu Lei completed a satisfying afternoon, drilling home after Tobias Hysen had broken down the right. Favorable results elsewhere mean SIPG extended their lead to three points.

Shanghai Shenhua vs Hangzhou Greentown
Saturday night had seen Shanghai Shenhua take on Hangzhou Greentown at the Hongkou Stadium. They took the lead in spectacular fashion when Colombian captain Gio Moreno scored an overhead kick from a corner. Big money signing Tim Cahill then got off the mark converting from the spot after a handball. There was then a big fight, which is always fun.

Liaoning Whowin vs Shanghai Shenxin
Shanghai Shenxin had traveled to Liaoning Whowin earlier on Saturday, still looking for thei first points of the season. And they were behind just before the half when Yang Shanping stabbed home. But Shenxin finally earned a point when Brazilian forward Zé Eduardo headed home for 1-1. The remain bottom of the table, but hey, it's a start.

The results see Shanghai SIPG stay top of the Chinese Super League with 17 points from 7 games. Shenhua sit in third with 13 points, while Shenxin are bottom of the league with that one point. Swede Tobias Hysen of SIPG is second top scorer in the league with five goals, Brazilian Paolo Henrique of Shenhua has four, while Nigerian Daniel Chima Chukwu of Shenxin and Gio Moreno of Shenhua have three.
