World renowned German-Japanese classical pianist Ott teams up with Finnish conductor Vanska for a cross-cultural instrumental program.

Ed Sheeran

The two-time Grammy nominated singer-songwriter masterfully blends soulful vocals, hip-hop inspired hooks and organic folk. He first rose to fame four years ago, when his independent debut found famous fans in Sir Elton John, Jamie Foxx and Rio Ferdinand. Sheeran has since toured with Taylor Swift, penned songs for One Direction and recorded his Grammy nominated sophomore album x with super producer Rick Rubin (Run DMC, Adele). His inaugural Asia tour stops off at Mercedes-Benz Arena with a few seats remaining.

Ladyfest

To honor International Women’s Day, the second annual Shanghai Ladyfest takes over Uptown Records. The celebration will feature art exhibitions, music performances, comedy and crafts. The after party goes down at LOgO and will see some of the city’s fiercest females rocking the stage and the decks. The city’s leading cosmic saxophonist leads his quintet with Jade Lee Quartet opening on Wednesday and Macleen Trio supporting on Thursday.

Isabelle (Pengpeng)

A Tribute to 1960s

Jonas Seetoh
The Shanghai jazz favorite makes his Heyday debut, performing plenty of new songs from his upcoming album, The Island.

‘4 in 1’ Live Band
Bulgarian-born Boyana teams up with Mauritian drummer Johnny Joseph, bassist Giovani Hansen and keyboardist Steve Desvaux for some seriously funky fusion.

Escolania de Montserrat 
The boys’ choir is associated with the Benedictine abbey of Santa Maria de Montserrat in Catalonia. They’re one of the oldest in Europe and are a worldwide favorite.

The Red Groove Project
Lawrence Ku’s funky ten-piece group take over JZ Club for the weekend with support from Savana on Friday and J3 Trio on Saturday.

Anja Bukovec
The Slovenian violinist pays tribute to great movie scores, performing pieces from films such as Porgy and Bess and Schindler’s List.

Coco Zhao
One of the city’s most electrifying vocalists plays an intimate show at new jazz joint, Heyday. He’ll be backed by the Heyday Club Trio for what promises to be a seriously hot show.

Newen
The Latin American electronic band plays infectious funk guaranteed to get you dancing.

Quentin Tarantino Fan Party
On Stage continues their film screening parties, celebrating the Tarantino classic Pulp Fiction. Screening starts at 1.30pm followed by swing dance classes from Shine Swing’s Mr. R and an acoustic tribute by Johnny and Vera.

Shanghai Visual Kei
