Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts introduces their Sleep Sanctuary in Greater China, a serene wellness journey that places rest and recovery at the heart of modern luxury.
Launching in May 2025 across Waldorf Astoria Spa locations in Greater China including Shanghai on the Bund, Beijing, Chengdu, Xiamen, and soon-to-open Shanghai Qiantan, this bespoke experience invites guests to surrender to profound relaxation, wrapped in the world’s finest linens by Frette.
The ritual begins with a warm, caffeine-free herbal infusion to quiet the mind, preparing the body for a deeper state of rest.
At its core is a 90-minute Aromatherapy Sleep Ritual, thoughtfully designed to melt tension, calm the nervous system, and guide guests toward effortless, restorative sleep. Gentle applications of warm essential oils along the spine and shoulders, combined with focused scalp and neck techniques, promote true stillness – allowing body and mind to soften, surrender, and reset.
Spa suites are transformed into havens of repose, dressed in Frette, complemented by plush robes and slippers, a reflection of Frette’s legendary craftsmanship and Waldorf Astoria’s devotion to timeless comfort.
The air is gently scented with a bespoke blend of lavender, vetiver, and frankincense, while curated soundscapes – from soft nature tones to resonant Himalayan singing bowls – invite the senses to retreat inward.
A refreshing tonic drink, served after the ritual, sustains the feeling of balance and renewal, allowing guests to carry the sense of calm with them long after they leave. Whether continuing their day or drifting into sleep, guests emerge feeling not only relaxed but profoundly restored: as if wrapped in a second skin of serenity.
Sleep Sanctuary marks the first time Frette’s complete amenity range has been integrated into a spa program across Greater China – a meeting of two icons who believe that true luxury is not just experienced but deeply felt.
"This experience is designed to nurture genuine rest, something that has become increasingly elusive and precious," said Brian Tong, area general manager, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Greater China. "Our collaboration with Frette enables us to express that intention through all senses, so that guests depart not just relaxed, but also deeply renewed."
Reservations are now available through respective hotel websites.
