Dulwich Pudong Students Awarded Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards
Dulwich Pudong are pleased to announce that three of their students have been awarded Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards for achieving Top in China scores in the 2023 IGCSE examinations.
Zihan L received the award for International Mathematics; Hailun Z for Drama; and Michael G for both Literature in English and First Language English (Oral Endorsement).
These prestigious awards, issued by Cambridge Assessment International Education, recognize exceptional achievement in Cambridge examinations worldwide.
Dulwich would like to highlight the remarkable accomplishment of Michael G, who achieved Top in China awards for both Literature in English and First Language English (Oral Endorsement).

YCIS Shanghai Celebrates 30th Anniversary
On October 13, YCIS Shanghai celebrated its 30th anniversary on YCYW’s Founder's Day, a special occasion to honor the founder of YCYW, Madam Tsang Chor-hang, for her contributions to education.
YCIS Shanghai was the first independent international school in Shanghai officially recognized by the Chinese government, underscoring its pivotal role in YCYW's ongoing development in the Chinese mainland.
At the event, Dr Betty Chan Po-king, YCYW’s Chief Executive Officer and School Supervisor, highlighted the school’s development:
“In September 1993, we opened our first YCIS Shanghai campus with only 63 students from different countries and regions.
“Today, we take great pride in having more than 2,200 students in our various YCIS Shanghai campuses in Hongqiao, Gubei, Regency Park, Century Park, Ronghua, and Lingang.
“This achievement marks a significant milestone in our journey.”
During the past 30 years, YCIS Shanghai has continued to pioneer and innovate in the field of international education.
Leveraging the strengths of the programs in Chinese Language and Chinese Studies, YCIS Shanghai has innovated unique teaching methodologies, including Bilingual Learning Communities and Super Co-curricular Programs.
These approaches foster a deep appreciation for cultural traditions, enabling students to develop exceptional character and a global perspective.

Pumpkin Palooza to Britannica
This year, Britannica International School Shanghai welcomed back Pumpkin Palooza, a Halloween community extravaganza for students, parents, teachers, friends and family to all celebrate together.
Teachers and pupils organized a number of stalls and activities, including a variety of games to keep the fun going alongside special performances and a raffle featuring fabulous prizes – ensuring a spooky good time was had by all!

Concordia China History & Culture Travel Adventures
Last month, Concordia students set out on educational travel adventures to experience the vast history and culture of China.
Grade 5 students tackled challenges like rock climbing, archery, and kayaking at Wufeng Mountain in Anji; eighth graders explored iconic landmarks in Beijing, including the Great Wall; seventh graders delved into ancient kilns and Jiangxi's tea culture; while sixth graders reveled in the scenic beauty and traditions of Moganshan.
High school students embarked on TrIBES trips, journeying to various parts of China for cultural and educational experiences. Their activities included conserving mangroves in Fujian, protecting sea turtles in Hainan, and cycling through Yunnan's tranquil bamboo forests.
These travels, with their emphasis on hands-on learning, underscore Concordia's dedication to holistic education.

BISS Puxi Participate in Opening Minds, Opening Lives Project
The British School of Shanghai, Puxi, participated in The Opening Minds, Opening Lives (OMOL) project – a social enterprise initiated three years ago with the objective of providing a bespoke English curriculum for over 400 physically and mentally challenged children from Nan Yang Orphanage, Henan.
The OMOL project is an example of how students uphold the IB Learner Profile attributes of being caring, principled and risk-taking learners.
Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi Cheer on Rolex Shanghai Masters
This month, 250 fortunate students from Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi had the extraordinary opportunity to attend the internationally acclaimed Rolex Shanghai Masters right in their neighbourhood.
