Bulgari Hotel Shanghai celebrates “I Believe in Wonder” Holiday Season lighting ceremony to draw public attention to wonder, which is to experience the season with fresh eyes and expectations, and to find beauty and charm in every facet of daily life. Guests and celebrities attended the dazzling event to witness the magic of wonder, discovering Italian elegance and pure winter joy behind exclusive experiences imbued with sophistication, warmth and beauty.

Jenny Cheah, President of Bulgari Greater China, Matthias Terrettaz, General Manager of Bulgari Hotel Shanghai, and actress Li Meng were present at the ceremony to light up the festive tree and art installation together.

For the first time, Bulgari Hotel Shanghai placed a grand festival tree at the main entrance. The Noble Fir, which is more than 10 years old and up to 7 meters high, was decorated with vivid colorful balls. The shining eight-pointed star inlaid on the top originated from the star elements of the ancient Rome Cabidorio Square designed by Michelangelo, reflecting the century old legend of Bulgari and echoing the theme of "I Believe in Wonder lighting up the light of miracles." The art decoration uses a light show that looks like a spark, which is projected on the exterior wall of the Former Chamber of Commerce Shanghai.

Exquisite festival decorations are hung at the main entrance of the hotel to guide celebrities and guests into the wonderful space, which glitters with charming brilliance on winter nights. Michelin-starred Restaurant Il Ristorante – Niko Romito's festival tree is particularly dazzling under the light of Barovier & Toso's customized Murano Salviati crystal chandelier. Stepping into La Terrazza and overlooking the beautiful Bund and the spectacular Shanghai skyline through the landmark arch, the highly creative artistic aesthetic shows the profound historical heritage of Bulgari, and builds a bridge between Rome and Shanghai for the festival season to convey the joy and warmth of the holiday.

During the festival season, Bulgari Hotel Shanghai also offers exclusive and relaxed room experiences for its guests, delivering warm, exquisite Italian furnishings of Bulgari to guests and playing a charming winter melody. The elegant guest room space and the beautiful scenery of the city become intertwined. At Bulgari Hotel Shanghai, where Italian elegance meets Shanghai features, something very special can happen with the magic of wonder.

About Bulgari Hotel Shanghai

In June 2018, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts grandly unveiled its sixth jewel of the crown, Bulgari Hotel Shanghai which sits in the prosperous Suhe Creek Riverside Comprehensive Development Zone. The visionary SUHE CREEK project is an urban waterfront revitalization project developed by the top domestic property developer OCT that integrates high-end residences, fashion businesses, art space and urban park. As part of the project, Bulgari Hotel Shanghai balances nature, contemporary design and heritage architecture. It is comprised of the historic Chamber of Commerce Shanghai, originally completed in 1916, and now completely restored to evoke memories of its glorious heyday, and the 48-story tower with scenic surroundings. Occupying the top eight floors of the 48-story building, Bulgari Hotel Shanghai offers beautiful panoramic views of the iconic Bund waterfront, the magnificent skyline of Shanghai, legendary Huangpu River and winding Suzhou River. The rest of the tower is home to Bulgari Residences Shanghai. Like other Bulgari hotels and resorts, the renowned Italian architectural firm ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel signed the Bulgari Hotel Shanghai’s design and created a glamorous contemporary masterpiece by blending the distinctive Italian refinement of Bulgari with rich layers of Shanghai history.
