It’s the newest one-day release from McDonald’s China for its “Members’ Day Menu.” McDonald’s members tend to be gen-Z customers. The Members’ Day Menu has therefore, been specially designed with them in mind.
McDonald’s is adept in drawing its inspiration from foods that resonate with local customers.
As the new addition to McDonald’s creative cuisine, this Crispy Tofu Burger adds tofu, a favorite ingredient across China, to the burger, meaning traditional Eastern ingredients collide with Western cooking techniques.
This is part of McDonald’s quest to integrate traditional Chinese cuisine culture into Western food culture. This innovation, with its Hunan flavor, is likely to be as popular among Chinese customers as predecessors like “Rice-cake McFlurry” and “Spicy Wagyu Beef Burger.”
