Time to Schedule Your Annual Flu Vaccine!

Flu season is coming. Last year, getting the flu vaccine wasn’t easy due to the COVID outbreak. This year, with the new variants of the coronavirus, and possible continuation of the pandemic, it’s even more important to get the protection afforded by the flu shots during the “respiratory virus” season.

The flu and COVID-19 share many of the same symptoms, such as fever, cough and fatigue. It is complicated distinguishing between the two. And they both have high rate of infectivity. The prospect of a flu outbreak compounding COVID-19 is worrisome when the disease control systems, hospitals and clinics are overwhelmed.

The annual flu shot has been shown to reduce the risk of getting the flu. During the pandemic period, it also means helping to keep you and your loved ones out of medical settings and helping to protect you from showing symptoms that likely require isolation precautions for COVID-19. Thus, prepare early this year, and register in advance to get your flu vaccine.
