Adriana Sports started off in 2017 organizing tournaments and league games. Now in their fourth year, their model is always evolving. During the pandemic, they turned their attention to a very important area – training.
Adriana’s missions is to create an exclusive ‘ecosystem’ for amateur women’s sports. So during this period they spent time upgrading their knowledge base. As they delved deeper into the sports industry, they realized that a number of female basketballers from all around the country who love playing the game are carrying injuries.
Seeing this sent a clear message to them: they needed to figure out why so many players had injuries, with a view to preventing them. It has been proven that training preparation, performance training and physical fitness are crucial for basketball players. Playing sports everyday is a good habit.
Furthermore, without performance training and physical fitness, and in face of more experienced opponents, players suffer more turnovers, on defense opponents get by too easily, and players have a hard time getting rebounds. Players may have a hard time achieving a stable shooting percentage from the 3-point line due to the lack of strength. In the second half of the game, they may feel tired because of a lack of stamina. All of these are part of basketball performance training.
That is why, after four years of organizing basketball competitions, Adriana Sports, with their partner JUZPLAY®️, has launched their first training program, opening up weekly classes to anyone who would like to experience professional sports performance sessions.
Their hope is that you can keep playing the sport you love in your best condition, prolong your sports life and reduce the likelihood of injury. Bring along your family and friends who also love basketball, or would be interested to experience how training can help them perform better on the court.
This year is the time for us to pay more attention to the prevention of sports injuries, strengthen physical fitness, improve sports ability and extend sporting life. Scan the QR code below to find out more.
Upper Body Strength Training
Upper body strength training is to help improve power and endurance during offensive and defensive play. Having sufficient upper body strength can protect the shoulder joints and resist the impact of force upon us during play effectively. The same effect can be used on opponents; the strength of your muscles is the physiological advantage over your opponents during play.
Lower Body Strength Training
Training of the lower body strength is indispensable, and acts as a foundation in sports. Endurance ability can determine effective playing time on the court. Strength level determines the stability of defense and the efficiency of playing against the opponents. Speed strength decides the efficiency of reaction. To be able to be faster, higher and stronger, athletes must train their lower body.
Core Strength Training
After the strength session, we also need the ability to use that strength in our game, and so that is where the integration session comes into play. This session is more challenging because you need power and some advanced basketball techniques to be able to use your strength, but it is a must. After all, training is to achieve a transformation on the court, rather than for the sake of training itself.
