CHARCOHOL is one of Shanghai’s newest cocktail bars and restaurants. Located on the ground floor of a beautiful three-story building at Fengshengli, this gastrolounge sports a spacious outdoor terrace for al fresco dining.

The gastrolounge features the talents of acclaimed mixologist Cross Yu and chef Mandela Zhu. And as the name implies, the experience is devoted to charcoal-grilled foods and craft cocktails – the titular char and (al)cohol, respectively.

Signature dishes such as maple & applewood smoked chicken with celeriac purée, umami bomb baby Napa cabbage, and smoked Iberico pork belly guabao display wide influences from American, Asian and French cuisines. From “chargroni” to “pickle bramble,” the mixed drinks fall in line with the theme.

CHARCOHOL is now doing a special on cocktails all March long, offering buy-one-get-one selected cocktails from 2-10pm every day.

It’s also starting brunch this weekend, and has already opened up its terrace.
