On October 27, SinoUnited Health opened a new clinic in Century Park and received its first clients. The Century Park Clinic is SinoUnited Health’s fifth clinic, following the Shanghai Center Clinic on West Nanjing Road, the Gefei Center Clinic on Mengzi Road at Huangpu Riverside, the New Bund Medical and Surgical Center at The New Bund World Trade Center (phase I) and the Zhangjiang Clinic on the 1st floor of the U-Plus Building on Xiangke Road.

Sticking to the core concept of being ‘patient-first’ and the GP+Specialist medical service model, the Century Park Clinic will combine SinoUnited Health’s powerful medical team resources and an emphasis on sports medicine and rehabilitation medicine. They aim to provide comprehensive and high-quality services for the surrounding international and business communities.

Serving Residents around the Century Park Area and Providing High-Quality Medical Services

SinoUnited Health has always been devoted to advancing medical disciplines and providing high-quality medical services. The Century Park Clinic will continue to build on this system and feature SinoUnited Health’s professional sports medicine and rehabilitation programs and medical team. As Dr. Shi, CEO of SinoUnited Health, explained at the opening ceremony, “The Chinese name of our clinic means the first ray of morning sunshine. It represents hope, warmth and health. We hope it can bring health and vigor to our guests.”

Located at Huamu Road 1717, near Pudong Century Park, the Clinic sits opposite Pudong Kerry Center. As the central park in Shanghai, Century Park has always been a landmark and one of the most popular locations for runners. According to Dr. Shi’s introduction, this district has gathered together countless running enthusiasts who have higher demands for their health. With the gradual increase in the number of people engaged in physical exercise, the demand for medical services and rehabilitation for sports injuries is also increasing. In addition, many sports enthusiasts hope to enhance their athletic abilities with professional guidance. SinoUnited Health hopes to provide these clients with international-level, high-quality medical services, and therefore chose to feature sports medicine and rehabilitation medicine at the Century Park Clinic.

Established in 2016, SinoUnited Health is a medical institution with international and domestic doctors comprising its core entrepreneurship and management team. Sticking to a ‘patient-first’ philosophy, SinoUnited Health is dedicated to providing guests with warm and professional medical services. The experienced medical team at SinoUnited Health covers general practice and over 20 specialist areas, creating a ‘GP+Specialist’ system that satisfies the diverse medical needs of guests. With medical safety and quality as top priorities, SinoUnited Health places significant emphasis on communication and cooperation with outstanding international and domestic medical institutions, such as the Mayo Clinic. Their spirit of forging ahead with determination and their strong capabilities for solving medical problems have earned them a great reputation in just a few years.

With a building area over 500 square meters, the Century Park Clinic provides medical services in the areas of Sports Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, Chinese Medicine, Orthopedics, Surgery, with more departments to be expanded in the future. The interior design of the clinic features a simple and cozy style, which allows patients to relax and have a pleasant experience. The combination of warm and cool lighting also contributes to the beautiful and comfortable atmosphere.

A Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine Center Based on Multidisciplinary Treatment

‘Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine’ is another featured discipline championed by SinoUnited Health. In addition, they have a Digestive Endoscopy Center, Child Health Center, Day Surgery Center, Women's Health Center, Cardiac Clinic, Rehabilitation Medicine Center, Behavioral Health Development Center, Skin Management Center and Optometry Medical Center. Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Justin Zhu reaffirmed that sticking to thier consistent service concept, the Century Park Clinic will focus on providing comprehensive MDT services. From diagnosis to treatment, there is cooperation and collaboration among specialists of different departments, including Sports Medicine, Rehabilitation Physiology, Orthopedics, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chiropractic and physical therapists. They aim to not only provide every patient with targeted and comprehensive multidisciplinary solutions but also combine professional techniques and the latest technologies in the prevention and treatment of various sports injuries, as well as pain management.

According to Dr. Frank Lorch of the Sports Medicine Department, the Center takes a  conservative approach and provides treatment for patients based on upholding “function recovery as a priority and trying to avoid surgeries for our patients as much as possible.” In fact, Dr. Lorch believes that many patients advised to receive an operation can actually recover through more conservative treatments.

SinoUnited Health’s international and domestic sports medicine team is extremely capable when it comes to both conservative and operative treatments. Their precise clinical diagnosis techniques enable patients to gain functional rehabilitation and return to sports quickly. The Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine Center is the go-to location for treatment of various sports injuries, including cervical spondylosis, lumbar spondylosis, disc herniation, scoliosis in children, neuropathic pain, postpartum kinesitherapy, non-surgical, conservative treatment of sport injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, spinal rehabilitation and postpartum rehabilitation.

The powerful medical team at the Center guarantees the highest standards of medical service. Like a UN-style team, we have therapists who have either been engaged in overseas medical service for years or received professional training, as well as doctors with abundant working experience in domestic tertiary hospitals.

According to Daniel Wang, the head of the Rehabilitation Physiotherapy Department, the average number of years of experience on the rehabilitation therapy team is over 10 years, which makes it possible for them to effectively deal with various common problems and more difficult, miscellaneous diseases. Many of our experts have worked with world champions and provided on-site medical services for high-profile, professional sports events both in China and abroad. There are more than enough reasons to believe that such a team will provide exceptional medical services to our patients and improve their quality of life.
