Museum fans rejoice! You can now visit all major attractions around Shanghai using the newly released annual pass, reports The Paper.

Promoted by Shanghai Museum Association, Youth Daily and iwen1, the annual pass, officially named ‘Shanghai Museum and Art Museum Pass,’ grants access to 52 museums, 36 galleries and 13 family-friendly attractions across the city.

The supporting venues include Shanghai Natural History Museum, Fosun Foundation Art Center, Shanghai Changfeng Ocean World and Peppa Pig World of Play, to name a few. The complete list can be found on the official WeChat account of iwen1 (the distributor of the annual pass), where you can also purchase the pass.

The annual pass costs RMB299. It may seem a bit pricey, but you can get your money back without hassle by merely visiting three or four of the venues. One thing that should be noted is that each place can only be visited once and the visit requires reservations on iwen1’s WeChat account in advance.

“By releasing the annual pass, we hope we can not only help promote museums and galleries around the city, but also bring real benefits to residents and tourists alike,” said Yan Junya, general manager of iwen1. According to Yan, they tested out the annual pass last year. The sales amounted to 100,000 – five times what they had expected.

This year’s annual pass can be used before April 30, 2020.
