Qiao Space is exhibiting over 50 works belonging to collectors of contemporary Chinese art. With a range of paintings, multi-media pieces, sculptures and sketches, the array is a unique look inside the homes (and storage units) of cultural patrons. If you go this Saturday, you'll double up with Qiao's fall party and a live performance from Faded Ghost.

Until Oct 21, Qiao Space.

Tshcabalala Self's solo exhibition at Yuz Project Space of Art highlights the Bodegas of New York City alongside paintings, sculptures and video. The family run corners stores featured in Self's show capture an aspect of the Black-American and Latinx community that has yet to be shown in a Chinese instution.

From Sep 22 until Dec 9, Yuz Museum

TRI-SOLO

Bank is simultaneously running three solo shows from Sun Yitian, Kim Laughton and Wang Rui. These consumerist works range from 3D animation to an "immersive imagery feast" examining the fragile psychological boundries between the virtual and the real.

Until Oct 28, Bank Gallery.

Other Voices Other Spaces

Closing next week is the group show from Liang Manqi, Li Qing, Shi Zhiying, Wang Yi and Yuan Keru. The exhibit engages with philosopher Michel Foucault's idea of 'heterotopia', used to describe places and spaces that function in non-dominant positions (roughly speaking). Many of the works are geometric, highlighting the relationships between shapes, colors and positive/negative space.

Until Sep 30, Shanghai Gallery of Art.

Carte Blanche - Continuous Terminus

Continuous Terminus is a group show featuring a lot of video pieces and stuff made on computers. These futuresque digital works by Hsiung Cheng Kai and Mao Haonan are a combination of dark and optimistic, programmatic feats, a captivating addition to M50.

Until Oct 7, ShanghART Main Space.
