Two Shanghainese women were filmed fighting after they both went for the same seat on the metro.

A video taken by netizen '西瓜嫩皮' shows the two women kicking and screaming while battling for the space, according to Jfdaily.com. They kept hitting each other despite other passengers trying to talk sense into them.

The women disturbed a nearby toddler who started crying, but that didn't stop them, and after a couple of minutes, police entered the train and took the brawling women away.

It was later confirmed two female passengers got into an argument over a seat on Shanghai Metro Line 2 on November 18. Police helped the two to reach an agreement on compensation for personal belongings they damaged during the altercation.

A similar incident happened on the Shanghai Metro in August.
