2016 may go down as the year the biggest names came to Shanghai. First there was Shanghai Disneyland, then the Michelin Guide, and now Taco Bell.
Delivering Californian lifestyle, American franchise Taco Bell has wooed its customers with unique dishes and flavors.
On December 17, Shanghai's Taco Bell held a lively Taco Friends Christmas party at its Lujiazui outlet, the only one in China. Taco fans — both Chinese and expats — showed up for the party.
Taco Bell prepared a hearty meal for fans and A Fu (Thomas), a German online celebrity in Shanghai, was also present on the evening. Hosting and broadcasting the party, throughout the evening he entertained the audience and gave away the prizes.
Renowned DJ Ana Couture was invited as well, ending the party on a high note.
The newly opened Taco Bell has charmed both expats and Chinese. The outlet has a spacious area and an open kitchen.
The tacos on offer in Shanghai are also much bigger than the ones you may have become accustomed to back home, and are stuffed with toppings to the point where there's little room for sauce. Prepare for extreme taco neck trying to consume one of them.
Customers also have the opportunities to take selfies with cartoon images of Taco Man.
