Last month we told you about an exciting new 17.5-kilometer trolley running the entire length of the Yan'an Lu elevated highway, set to begin operations in early 2017. A journey from the Bund to Minhang District will take about an hour on the new trolley.

More details have emerged regarding the new bus rapid transit system, set to open to the public next month. The CSR (which stands for "Comfort Safety Reliability") is designated as Bus #71, and will hit 25 stops along Yan'an Lu, traveling through Huangpu, Jing'an, Changning and Minhang. It will take over a special lane in the center of the road.

Platforms for each stop are positioned in the central reservation under the elevated road. Staircases will be built down from pedestrian bridges spanning each intersection so that passengers can easily reach the platforms.
