Just a couple weeks after hosting their annual Strawberry Music Festival, China's biggest independent record company Modern Sky returns to Expo Park from May 14-15 to host its first EDM festival, MYTH Electronic Music Festival. Bolstering headliners Knife Party (May 14) and Diplo, as well as legends like Goldie and local upstarts like Carta, MYTH will feature over 40 DJs rocking three stages. Here are 12 of our artists picks and check out the full schedule at the end of the post.

Saturday, May 14

Knife Party

Comprised of two former members of drum and bass band Pendulum, Knife Party peddles an abrasive style they dub ‘seizure music.’ Their debut single ‘Internet Friends’ has garnered over seven million YouTube views and they’ve collaborated with EDM legends like Swedish House Mafia. Their debut album Haunted House topped the US Dance Albums chart while their 2016 Ultra Miami closing set has been described as “the most memorable” yet.
May 14, 8.30-9.30pm, New World Stage.

DVBBS

Since being propelled to global acclaim with their UK Billboard chart-topping hit ‘Tsunami,’ the Canadian brothers have been making the most of their success. Currently ranked No. 16 on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJ list, DVBBS have nearly 5 million Facebook fans and recently brought their high-octane show to Tomorrowland which they co-headlined.
May 14, 7.30-8.30pm, New World Stage.

Goldie

An OG of drum and bass, the producer and DJ was one of electronic music’s first cross-over stars, taking the UK rave scene to new heights during the 1990s. Despite enjoying living legend status, Goldie remains a busy figure as leader of the Rufige Kru and as a fixture at festivals around the globe.
May 14, 6-7pm, Resistance Stage.

MAKJ

Just 23 years old, Mackenzie Johnson has already performed at major festivals like Ultra and Coachella, while landing several songs on the Beatport Top 10. His fans include EDM stars like Hardwell, Tiesto and Avicci.

May 14, 6.30-7.30pm, New World Stage.

Riva Starr

The London-based Italian producer and DJ has crafted an unpredictable career, producing everything from house to folk and everything in between. His 2012 collaboration with Fatboy Slim, ‘Eat Sleep Rave Repeat’ landed at No. 3 in the British charts.
May 14, 5-6pm, Resistance Stage.

Carta

The Shanghai-born Italian Chinese DJ and producer may just be entering his 20s, but he’s already a rising force within China’s dance scene. He started DJing at 13 and began producing at 16, crafting a distinct sound that’s made him the first Chinese artist signed to Dutch mega-label Spinnin (Afrojack, Calvin Harris). He’s becoming a fixture at these mega-shows, rocking last year's Budweiser STORM Festival and A2Live's Now or Never New Year's Eve party.

May 14, 4.30-5.30pm, New World Stage.

Sunday, May 15

Diplo

Few producers straddle the line between underground and mainstream like the Mad Decent founder. Since gaining early notoriety for his early collaborations with M.I.A. like ‘Paper Planes,’ Diplo has since enjoyed a golden touch, working on everything from dancehall (Major Lazer) to pop (‘Bitch I’m Madonna’). He’s scored three Grammys and may have done the impossible – making Bieber tolerable with their hit collaboration with Skrillex, ‘Where Are U Now.’
May 15, 8.30-9.30pm, New World Stage.

KSHMR

The Indian-American producer creates ecstatic electro-house inspired by Kashmir, which is often referred to as “paradise on earth.” He first rose to fame with his Beatport chart topping hit ‘Burn.’ Previously anonymous, KSHMR revealed himself live at last year’s Ultra Music Festival with an introduction by the legendary Tiesto. He’s since made his debut on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJ list last year, where he landed at #23.
May 15, 7.30-8.30pm, New World Stage.

Danny Avila

Despite being just 20 years old, the Spanish DJ and producer is a veteran of mega festivals like EDC, TomorrowWorld and Ultra. An electro-house star in his teens, Avila has collaborated with stars like Tiësto, The Black Eyed peas and Fedde le Grand. He was the youngest resident of Las Vegas institution Hakkasan and is currently ranked 60th on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJ list.
May 15, 5.30-6.30pm, New World Stage.

Juicy M

From YouTube sensation to festival fixture, Juicy M has enjoyed quiet the ride. Her online videos have more than 7 million views leading to massive gigs with the likes of Black Eyed Peas, Afrojack, Skrillex and Backstreet Boys. She was currently ranked the world's number one female DJ by DJane Mag.
May 15, 3.30-4.30pm, New World Stage.

Jimmy Edgar

The Detroit producer, designer and filmmaker first emerged as a major force in the glitch scene a decade ago, while still in his teens. He’s since crafted a fascinating career perfecting his abstract techno sounds.
May 15, 6-7pm, Resistance Stage.

Cari Lekebusch

The Stockholm DJ and producer first broke out in the early 1990s as a member of the remix group SweMix, whose other members included the grandfather of Swedish house music StoneBridge.
