Vintage Photos Show Everyday Life in 1940s Shanghai

Nostalgia-inducing photography blog Vintage Everyday recently posted a set of beautiful color photos offering a rare glimpse into life in Shanghai between 1945 – 1946. Photos depict a Shanghai almost unrecognizable when compared to the city we inhabit today, including images of rickshaws, trams and a significantly flatter city skyline. Although traces of this Shanghai can still be found throughout the city, it's nice to revisit a younger Shanghai through photographs from time to time.
