The BBC Radio 6 DJ has been shaping tastes since the late 1980s, when he played a pivotal role in the early careers of acid jazz favorites like Jamiroquai and Brand New Heavies. Peterson was an early adopter of current music icons like Erykah Badu and Roni Size, while recently giving his coveted seal of approval to Beijing future producer Howie Lee.
