Kurt Rosenwickel

Widely praised as one of the finest jazz guitarists of the under-50 generation, Rosenwinkel started his career when he dropped out of Berklee College of Music to tour with vibraphonist Gary Burton. It was a smart career move that has led to collaborations with icons like tenor patriarch Pharoah Sanders, drum legend Paul Motian and contemporary saxophonist Joshua Redman. Frequently compared to Pat Metheney, the fretsman has showed off his solo prowess on projects like 2012’s Star of Jupiter. The Tea Spell

This elegant dance show answers the question, what can tea tell us? It’s a charming story of a woman finding love in the Tang Dynasty. Throughout the show, she encounters three different types of people – the woodcutter, scholar and monk – whose relationship with the woman constantly evolve. The show is a vibrant mix of dance, Zen tea culture and millennium royal tea utensils unearthed from Famen Temple. We’re giving away a pair of tickets on WeChat.
