If bubbles could talk, the ones from Perlage Winery would probably whisper, “Sustainability first.”

Tucked in the rolling hills of Valdobbiadene, this isn’t just another Prosecco house—it’s a pioneer rewriting what it means to drink responsibly, and deliciously.

This year, Perlage celebrates 40 years, and the milestone feels less like a number and more like a manifesto.

From the start, the Nardi family believed that great wine and great ethics belong in the same glass.

Decades before 'organic' became a buzzword, they turned their vineyards green—literally and philosophically.

What impressed us most wasn’t just the wine, but the community heartbeat behind it.

As we walked into the winery, the walls bloomed with color—artwork created by local students.

This isn’t branding; it’s a bridge.

Perlage actively involves its community in sustainability education, turning every canvas into a conversation about the future of our planet.

And then there’s their boldest project yet: a water reserve system designed to save vineyards from climate chaos.

Think heavy rains, landslides, and lost harvests.

Perlage’s solution?

Capture, store, and reuse rainwater to protect both vines and villages.

It’s an innovation that made headlines across Italy and proves that for Perlage, sustainability is more than a label; it’s infrastructure.

After the vineyard tour, we moved on to the part where sustainability meets sparkle.

Tiziano Nardi (Extra Brut)

Elegant and razor-fresh, with green apple and mineral edges that feel like a cool alpine breeze.

Animae (Brut, no added sulfites)

Pure and vibrant, almost ethereal, balancing white flowers with a citrus zest that lingers like a whispered secret.

Col di Manza (Extra Dry, Single Vineyard)

Soft, rounded, and serenely complex—think pear, acacia honey, and a touch of almond in a velvet finish.

For the Expat in China

If you’re sipping Prosecco in Guangzhou, Shanghai or Beijing, why not choose one that’s rewriting tradition responsibly?

Perlage isn’t just sparkling wine—it’s a story of heritage, community, and a planet-conscious future.
