Shenzhen's beautiful shoreline received a beating from Typhoon Mangkhut, with the ‘Everlasting Love Stone’ at Dameisha Beach Park being torn apart, and a newly-built beach club being completely destroyed in Longgang District.
In China, romantics like to say, “I’ll love you till the seas run dry and the rocks crumble.” At Shenzhen’s Dameisha Beach, one particular stone, the ‘Everlasting Love Stone,’ did indeed crumble amidst the destructive typhoon.

The stone, in its former glory, was a popular spot for wedding photos, as the shape of the stone resembled two lovers kissing. But now, what is left of it is only the ‘lady’ rock, standing helplessly next to the ‘man’ stone, which was toppled by the massive typhoon. It's clear the stone couple has fallen on hard times.
Dameisha Beach Park announced that a rebuild will be decided upon in the future.

The unforgiving storm also inflicted a devastating blow on Loop Surf Salon, a beach club in Longgang District, which had just been compeleted one week before the disaster. Take a look at some of the shocking photos of the club’s current state:
