A 10 year old girl in Chongqing attacked and abducted a one year old boy she met with his mother in an elevator in her apartment building.

The boy and his mother boarded the elevator together but when it reached their floor the woman got out and didn't notice until too late that her son hadn't followed. In a panic, she ran to the 25th floor, where the elevator was heading, but was unable to find her son.

When she contacted building security, the woman was appalled to see surveillance footage of the girl in the elevator viciously attacking her son. After the elevator reached the 25th floor, the girl allegedly dragged the boy to her apartment balcony and threw him over the edge.

Amazingly, the boy survived the fall and was rushed to hospital, where he is recovering. The girl was briefly detained by police but later released, her parents have now taken her into hiding.
