Utter pig pandemonium ensued on the Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel yesterday.

At 9.22am on May 30, three adventurous little pigs somehow broke free of their transport vehicle in a tunnel between Chongming Island and Pudong. Confused commuters recorded videos of the scene to make sure their morning coffees weren't spiked.

The fugitive pigs made a run for it through the tunnel before quick-responding authorities retrieved them with minimal hassle. The pigs enjoyed approximately 20 minutes of freedom and only caused minor traffic interruptions.

No spaces were hogged.
