Giant Fake T-Rex Used to Attract Business in Henan

One business in Henan’s Xinxiang city has turned to a rather unconventional marketing strategy: a large tyrannosaurus rex peeking out of the fifth floor window of the building. 

The dinosaur was placed precariously, jaws agape and stubby arms wide open to attract the attention of passersby.

The marketing gimmick happened last month, and reactions have been mixed. Some onlookers worried that the giant figurine would collapse and cause a safety hazard. Others wondered whether or not it violated any rules. None seem to have expressed an increased desire to shop at the store.
