God damn it. Poor KFC just can't catch a break these days.
With China sales plummeting after that rather unsavory food safety scandal, desperate measures have been taken in KFC's product development lab.
After much brainstorming, hand-wringing, calculation, and experimentation, they found a sandwich that will reignite the people's passion for chicken.
The Rose Cheese Roasted Chicken Burger! In theory it looks like this:

Fascinated to see the Rose Cheese in real life, we high tailed it down to our nearest KFC and snapped one up for RMB17.
Zero rose taste in the bun. Maybe that's a good thing.
Ugh. Halfway through. Rose Cheese burger starts to look like a squished pink brain with lettuce in the middle. We give up eating.
We were also tempted to try KFC's other new creation: the Black Diamond Bacon Spicy Chicken Burger.
Sadly, this guy was sold out, so we made do with another pink item: strawberry cone soft-serve:
Not too proud to say this was actually pretty good for RMB6.
