Despite warmer than usual weather this winter in Beijing, Shichahai Ice Skating Rink is finally open! The rink, which covers 80,000 square meters, officially opened on January 17.
Shichahai Skating Rink is mainly composed of two major parts: Houhai Lake Skating Rink and Qianhai Lake Skating Rink.

Shichahai has a speed skating area, comprehensive activity area, training area and other sectioned off areas for visitors of different ages and skating enthusiasts of varying skill level.
The comprehensive activity area entrance fee includes ice wagons, chair sleds, and ice bikes. You can also rent helmets and skates for RMB30 plus a RMB100-200 deposit.

Day time: 9am-5.30pm
Nighttime: 6-9pm *only available at Qianhai Skating Rink

How to get there:
Subway Line 8: Get off at Shichahai Station, take exit C, and walk a few minutes to the rink.
Subway Line 6: Get off at Beihai North Station, take exit B, and walk a few minutes to the rink.
Take a taxi or Didi to No.10 Qianguaibang Hutong No.10 (Jindongsi Street), Dongcheng.
