A collection of original Disney cartoons, including some rare celluloid artwork, is being displayed in Beijing for the first time, according to Chinanews.com.

The collection, which features over 400 original stills from Disney cartoons, will go on show at the National Museum of Classic Books in Beijing. It also includes a number of images of classic Disney characters, such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

The exhibition is also comprised of 84 drawings from the private collection of Archie Robin, an artist at the Disney studios during the 1930’s, loaned to the museum by his daughter Marianne Robin.

As well as enjoying these cartoons, visitors can also experience a restoration of a 1930’s Disney workshop, learn about celluloid animation and watch classic animated Disney films.

Disney has seen an increase in popularity in China ever since the deal struck between Buena Vista International and Youku, which released over 1,000 Disney episodes onto the video streaming platform owned by Alibaba.

The collection will remain in Beijing until October 14.
