Scene & Heard: Beijing Fang

A design-focused area in Dashilar, Beijing Fang is on its way to becoming a hip new spot. Beijing Fang, or ‘Fun,’ as it’s also known, could eventually live up to its name, as – and when – new places open. Shops that are already open include a Harrods tearoom and Page One bookstore. There are also boutique stores, cafes (like a Voyage Cafe and a big old Starbucks) and restaurants. Open alleys snake between the buildings, all of which lead to a square in the middle – a small oasis in a desert of underwhelming knick-knacks that flood the streets around it.
