Among all the CNY-themed sneakers released last month, the adidas Ultra Boost ‘Year of the Dog’ seems to be the most tasteful in design.
Forgoing the stereotypical hongbao red, embroidered floral, and animal prints, the designers went with intertwining hues of red and black for the Primeknit upper, while a special logo with the Chinese character ao (meaning ‘Tibetan mastiff’) is placed on the tongue as a nod to this year’s zodiac animal.
