Jing-A has announced plans to host a craft beer festival this fall featuring American and Canadian brewers from the Pacific Northwest.
The 8x8 Brewing Project will pair eight breweries from Greater China with eight breweries from abroad. The beers they'll make as a result will be showcased at the festival on November 3-4.
Confirmed breweries from abroad include: Breakside Brewery (Portland), Cloudburst Brewing (Seattle), The Commons Brewery (Portland), Culmination Brewing (Portland), Gigantic Brewing Co. (Portland), Holy Mountain Brewing (Seattle), Parallel 49 Brewing (Vancouver) and 10 Barrel Brewing Co. (Bend).
And from Greater China, you can expect: Bubble Lab (Wuhan), Fat Fat Beer Horse (Xiamen), Master Gao (Nanjing), Moonzen Brewery (Hong Kong), NBeer (Chengdu/Beijing), Taihu Brewing (Taipei), TAPS (Shenzhen/Chongqing) and, of course, Beijing's own Jing-A.
The weekend festival will be divided into four all-you-can-drink tasting sessions, with tickets starting at RMB300. Festival goers will get the chance to speak with the brewers in person, plus sample their other beers (i.e., ones not made specifically for the festival).
The event will be held at 798's UCCA. Visit 8x8brewingproject.com for more info or see event listing.
